Ferrochrome is an iron alloy composed of chromium and iron. It is an important alloy additive in steelmaking. Chromium iron with carbon content of more than 4%, commonly used for ball bearing steel and steel for automobile parts. Commonly used silicon chromium alloy, ferrochrome nitride and so on. Ferrochrome is mainly used as an alloy additive for steelmaking, which used to be added in the later stage of refining. Low carbon steel smelting, such as stainless steel, must use low, micro carbon ferrochrome, so the production of refined ferrochrome has been relatively large-scale development.
